According to Greek mythology, the Maenads were a gang of mad women who, on their drunken rampages, were capable of tearing a man to pieces if he happened to cross their path. For instance: They grabbed Orpheus, and after dismembering his body, threw his head into the River Hebrus where it continued to sing mournful songs as it floated down to the sea.
Maenads are still with us. A lot of them are working in the media. The Guardian would not dream of employing anyone but a Maenad (of both sexes).

I can’t understand this. Women are excellent at football, and everyone enjoys watching them play. The BBC told me so.
Why wouldn’t women want to talk about it?

Well said, Laura. Your articles do more for promoting REAL equality between the sexes than any amount of social justice warrior bullsh*t. As you have correctly identified, it’s not about men vs women. It’s about insane wokeness vs decent ordinary people.
